What's Ahead?: Transitioning from Adult Education to a Career

What’s Ahead? provides students with career sector information and related vocabulary that pertain to a variety of careers where job growth is expected in the 21st century. Some of the featured careers are in health care, computer technology, hospitality, daycare and education, and entrepreneurship. Each chapter includes a reading, a reflection of a worker in that job sector, and representative realia/documents from that field. This rich and engaging content is supplemented with vocabulary exercises, discussion questions, and research and writing prompts.
