Carta a Inés. La fe de tus padres

Son muchos los jóvenes que dudan y se hacen preguntas acerca de la fe cristiana, expresada a menudo con un lenguaje complejo. Y no son pocos los padres y educadores a los que les resulta difícil explicar esa fe de manera cercana e inteligible. Por ello, José Sols y Julia Argemí escriben esta carta dirigida a su hija Inés, joven universitaria, en la que intentan explicarle el sentido de la fe religiosa en general y de su fe cristiana en particular. Entre otros temas, hacen un recorrido por el sentido de la fe en la vida de cualquier persona, la pregunta acerca de la existencia de Dios, la relación entre fe y ciencia, la historia del judaísmo, una aproximación inteligible y cercana a la Biblia, el papel de la Iglesia, la concepción de ser humano y de la ética que derivan de la fe en Jesucristo, el sentido de la oración, y finalmente culminan con una reflexión sobre el valor fundamental del amor.

Many young people doubt and ask questions about the Christian faith. There are parents and educators who find it difficult to explain that faith in a close and intelligible way. For this reason, José Sols and Julia Argemí write this letter addressed to their daughter Inés, a young university student, in which they try to explain to her the meaning of religious faith in general and of their Christian faith in particular. Among other topics, they take a tour of the meaning of faith in the life of any person, the question about the existence of God, the relationship between faith and science, the history of Judaism, an approach intelligible and close to the Bible, the role of the Church, the conception of the human being and the ethics that derive from faith in Jesus Christ, the meaning of prayer, and finally culminating with a reflection on the fundamental value of love.
